Shooting, travelling, discovering...
The young du grain à démoudre team has been struck by hyper-activity !

They are writing the script for the promotional film for the 11th du grain à démoudre film festival.
Remember last year, they dared to shoot a (completely legal) remake of Basic Instinct (those who haven't yet seen this epic moment can still see it on the du grain à démoudre web site: www.dugrainademoudre.net).

In 2010, there's going to be a survey on the meaning of "du grain à démoudre", which remains a mystery for a number of people… real/fake documentary, exclusives images, a thriller atmosphere – but we won't tell you more for the moment!

A film crew is working on a fourth film within our partnership with the Normandy branch of Total. This year they will film young architects in the process of redesigning the future industrial zone of the Seine estuary.

Some of our young film lovers wanted to explore fixed images, they will use photography to organise an exhibition on the theme of 'time'. The photographer Agnès Des Ligneris will support them and their project and they will invite the inhabitants of Gonfreville l'Orcher to take the pose for the photos.

The youngsters attended several festivals in the region. For the Les Courtivores Festival in Mont Saint Aignan and the Very Short Film Festival in Saint Etienne du Rouvray, they presented their association, their work (the Basic Instinct parody was yet again a great success!) and their festival.

Several workgroups will be held on film directing and the discovery of cinema with groups from Gonfreville l'Orcher and the agglomeration of Le Havre.

Schoolchildren took part in directing a documentary on photos selected by UNICEF within an operation on children's rights. They were filmed by Jean-Marie Châtelier. This initiative was set up thanks to a partnership between the AGIES social centre and the Gustave Courbet school at Gonfreville l'Orcher.

Young inhabitants from Harfleur are currently directing a short film with Sébastien Thévenet and in collaboration will the town of Harfleur on the theme of 'another world'. It will be presented at the Euroleis 'a young viewpoint on the estate community' video competition.
We hope their film will win over the juries !

'Small old-time hardware shop', that's the pretty title chosen by Florence Brochoire for 5 films on the theme of 'time'. Young and less young people from the Gonfreville l'Orcher AGIES social centre will discuss their childhood memories in an inter-generational approach…
Some will remember the song of swallows while others will delight in bringing back memories of travelling through the roads of France...

Animated films will be produced in July with the Youth Department of the town of Gonfreville l'Orcher on the theme of 'my neighbourhood's identity' with the Secours Populaire (non profit making association) of the town of Gonfreville l'Orcher on the theme of 'time'.

All these films will be screened during a special moment in the festival on Wednesday November 17th .
